Do me a favour, and ignore the word "AI" for a moment, and ask yourself the following questions.

  1. How can I increase engagement on my website?
  2. How can I make my website become a "destination"?
  3. How can I reduce my customer service budget?
  4. How can I increase conversions?

Imagine answering the above questions without using the word "AI", it would almost be impossible. But let's try to answer it anyways.

The above would arguably be the only correct answer to the above 4 questions, and the above 4 questions are probably the by far most important questions a "marketing expert" would be asking if tasked with increasing online sales, right? The paradox is that the above questions literally only have one correct answer, and it's an embeddable AI chatbot, on your website, since it perfectly answers all of the above four questions.

Let's imagine an imaginary tour guide operator selling historical tours about WW2 in France/Normandy, guiding its visitors through historical sites related to WW2. I'm a history freak, so this is a no-brainer for me. Such an AI chatbot could be ingested with thousands of historical articles about Normandy, images from the fighting, and even maps and video footage guiding its users around historical WW2 sites in France.

For a person like me, simply consuming the AI chatbot would be highly interesting, asking it questions related to D-Day and the war - So I'd probably want to test it, and play with it, even if I had no intentions to go to France anytime soon. As I'm playing with the chatbot, the AI would of course do its best to try to sell me one of these tours, and I might end up booking something I originally never wanted, because the AI chatbot simply "sold me on the idea".

Congratulations, your AI chatbot is now "a destination", and will help you sell to visitors whom originally had no intentions of purchasing your services!

SEO is one of those magical words, which often is ridiculously expensive, to the point where most tour guide operators probably have difficulties paying for it. While at the same time it's the defining difference of having organic sales through your website, without having to pay Google or Facebook thousands of dollars per month. First of all, and I need to emphasise this ...
