Get a Chatbot Powered by OpenAI

Monday we were informed by moderators at OpenAI's community forums that using the word ChatGPT is a violation of OpenAI's terms of service, so we were forced to make some changes to how we communicate our product.

As an AI chatbot service provider delivering chatbots based upon OpenAI, we're obviously dependent upon being on friendly terms with OpenAI - And marketing a chatbot as a "ChatGPT chatbot", or using the word "GPT" in your chatbot's product name, might actually in theory risk OpenAI closing your API account.

OpenAI have already sent warnings to other chatbot service providers using the word "GPT" in their name, so this is a big deal

If OpenAI closes a chatbot service provider's API account, all chatbots built with that API account will stop working. We've therefor decided to change how we communicate our product, something you can see in the bottom/left corner of this page.

Here for the long term

We're here for the long term, and we suspect it's smarter of us to comply by OpenAI's Terms of Service, than to risk everything for short term gains - We are therefor as of now referring to our chatbots as "powered by OpenAI", instead of "ChatGPT-based chatbots", to comply with OpenAI's ToS.

Our technology is still the same, and we still have the same quality as ChatGPT - Except of course it's based upon RAG, allowing us to use OpenAI's AI models with your data, and we're no longer marketing our chatbot technology as a "ChatGPT-based chatbot".

We're still using the same AI models as ChatGPT, we've only changed how we communicate that fact

We are also encouraging all others to do the same. Having a serious foundation for AI chatbots is in the best interest of all participants in this space, and by using the words "ChatGPT", and/or "GPT" in your product name, you might risk having your clients lose access to their chatbots. We've therefor reached out to our competitors and informed them.

Yet again, OpenAI have already sent out warning emails to other service providers that they're violating their ToS, so it's probably just a matter of time before OpenAI starts turning off API accounts. We just want to be upfront, and make sure they have no reasons to do this for our account. After all, our clients are depending upon having their chatbots working - And if we don't comply, our clients risks having their chatbots stop working.

For the record, we have not been given a warning email from OpenAI, and we are as of now 100% in compliance to OpenAI's Terms of Service
