Project Strawberry, AKA GPT5 Released
About 5 minutes ago we got an email from OpenAI telling us that due to us being a tier 5 API customer, we've been given exclusive access to GPT5, AKA project Strawberry, AKA GPT-O1.
According to OpenAI's article about O1, the O1 preview model, which is their strongest model, scores equally good as PhD students in physics, chemistry, and biology - Which implies a significant leap forward on reasoning and complex problem solving.
This is a significant leap forward compared to GPT4, which scores roughly as good as a decent high school student. Implying AINIRO is now capable of delivering PhD level AI for its customers.
We haven't played much with it yet, but we will test it over the next couple of days to write up a review to see what possibilities these new models can actually achieve. However, according to OpenAI's statements, these models will be significantly slower than GPT4 models, due to spending a lot more compute for each answer.
OpenAI are however apparently also releasing "mini versions" of GPT-O1, which will be much faster, and 80% less expensive on tokens than their largest models in the same category.
We suspect very few of our customers will actually benefit from this improvement, but if you just simply "have to try GPT-O1" today, you can contact us below to become a customer.
