Create Your Own ChatGPT 'Buy Now' Button
OpenAI just took a gigantic blow at Amazon and Google a week ago. With their release of "ChatGPT apps", everybody selling stuff online can create an MCP server that is serving e-commerce vendors' checkout forms and purchase forms. And more importantly, such checkout forms are being served directly from ChatGPT.
This implies that any e-commerce vendor capable of exposing such ChatGPT apps over their MCP server can reach 800 million people "for free" through ChatGPT by allowing users to purchase items directly from ChatGPT.
