CustomGPT versus AINIRO

CustomGPT versus AINIRO

This is my second article where I go through all of our largest competitors to make it possible for you to make an intelligent decision on which AI chatbot you should choose. In this article I will walk you through CustomGPT and compare it to our AI chatbot.

Contrary to Salesforce Einstein Assistant, which is a hot flaming pile of garbage, CustomGPT actually have a decent AI chatbot. It's based upon OpenAI and ChatGPT, and they've got quite an interesting list of features, which makes it a viable option for most. I know Alden personally too, and as far as I am concerned, he's an honest and nice guy, and I'm sure they provide excellent service to their clients.

Do NOT embed CustomGPT on every page in your CMS

If you're choosing CustomGPT, there is no way you can embed it on every single page of your CMS. If you want to use CustomGPT, you're left with creating a single landing page for the AI chatbot, simply because of its size. Notice, you can embed CustomGPT on all pages on your website, it's just madness to actually do so.

Below is a size comparison between CustomGPT and our AI chatbot. As you can see, CustomGPT is substantially larger than our AI chatbot, to the point where it takes 5 seconds on average to simply load it on the page. Further down in this article I have a video where I walk through these numbers.

Bandwidth comparison

MetricCustomGPTAINIRO
HTTP requests1977
Transfer1,700KB72.2KB
Load time5 seconds0.7 seconds

Depending upon what metric you choose, CustomGPT is between 7 to 42 times larger on bandwidth consumption. With such numbers, the features of your AI chatbot become irrelevant, simply because more than 50% of your users will never see it for reasons I will go through below.

It can be difficult to understand the difference here when we're only using numbers, so let me show you a chart that illustrates these differences. And please notice that smaller is better. Purple is CustomGPT and blue is AINIRO.

CustomGPT versus AINIRO AI chatbots on HTTP requests

If you're counting HTTP requests, then AINIRO is 42 times better than CustomGPT on initial pageload. This is because we don't initialise our chatbot before the user clicks the button. AINIRO was created as "an embeddable AI chatbot from the grounds and up", while for CustomGPT embedding the AI chatbot as a button was an "after thought" ...

Research about page load

Google claims that if your website takes more than 10 seconds to load, more than 50% of your users will click the back button before it even loads.

10 seconds of pageload, implies 50% of your users gives up waiting for it

If you're paying for Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or something similar, the consequences of this becomes devastating. Because, 50% of all clicks you're paying for never sees your website. So if your CPC (Cost Per Click) is $2, and you add an AI chatbot to your page that increases pageload time to 10 seconds or more in total, you're now basically paying $4 per impression, because 50% of your users clicks the ad but never sees your page.

With a CustomGPT AI chatbot you pay twice as much for Google Ads

The average website already spends 5 seconds to load, implying that if you add CustomGPT to it, you're beyond 10 seconds of initial pageload time. Watch me walk through the figures in the following video.

Wrapping up

We have some features that CustomGPT does not have, such as the ability to add images, integrate with APIs, and create Low-Code business logic, etc. CustomGPT have some features we do not have, such as affiliate links embedded directly into the AI chatbot. However, if you're looking for an AI chatbot to embed on every single page of your website, a "feature comparison" becomes irrelevant for the above reasons.

If you're looking for a single landing page for your AI chatbot, you can start comparing features and pricing, and maybe CustomGPT have "that one feature you desperately need". Alden has a legitimate product as far as I know, and I know him as a hard working and honest guy.

If you want to have an AI chatbot that follows the user around on his entire website journey, the only option here becomes AINIRO - Unless you're OK with "bleeding" website visitors due to pageload time - Or you're creating a single landing page where you want to embed your AI chatbot, and your users are OK with having to wait for more than 10 seconds for the page to load.

In addition to the above, CustomGPT have an entry level pricing model of $89 per month. If you only need a website chatbot, our offer starts out at $49 per month, which includes OpenAI API costs.

  • CustomGPT $89 per month
  • AINIRO $49 per month

Disclaimer - I work for AINIRO, so obviously I am biased - However, numbers don't have bias, and they can be reproduced and neutrally tested if you wish. All other statements in this article are taken from publicly available research you can easily find if you search for it.
