Do you REALLY Need an AI Chatbot?

Do you REALLY Need an AI Chatbot?

Embedding an AI chatbot on your website like the one we've got in the bottom / right corner can significantly increase your conversion. However, it might also be that nobody is using it, resulting in you paying a lot of money for something you don't really need. In addition, it might end up reducing your traffic because of reducing your page load speed. Implying your AI chatbot project just reduced your new sales instead of increasing them.

Increased Engagement

An AI chatbot can increase engagement on your website a lot. We've got about 150 unique visitors every day on our site, and we've got about 32 AI chatbot questions being asked on an average day. Most who come to our website and ends up purchasing a cloudlet, have been engaging with our chatbot before they bought a subscription.

For the record, our numbers will probably not reflect your numbers. The reason is because our product is an AI chatbot, which obviously imply our customers will want to test our product before they buy it for themselves - Resulting in significantly higher numbers for us compared to your numbers.

We spend zero dollars on ads and zero dollars on marketing - Implying 100% of our traffic is organic - Yet still, we're profitable and financially "comfortable". If we were to remove our AI chatbot, our new sales would probably plummet by 90%. From a marketing point of view it could be argued that our AI chatbot is a miracle worker.

However, at the end of the day, this is the only thing an AI chatbot actually does; Increasing engagement that is. If you've got 25 unique website visitors per day, you can consider yourself lucky if you get a handful of questions per week. Implying you'll end up paying $298 per month for something that's costing you $15 for each question your users is asking it. This is because unless you already have a substantial amount of traffic on your website, an AI chatbot will not give you ROI.

There are many ways to increase your traffic, ranging from SEO and affilliate marketing, to simply purchasing ads from Google or Facebook. However, unless people see your AI chatbot, implying they're on your website - They will not be engaging with your AI chatbot, regardless of how good it is.

You'll need traffic to ensure your chatbot can help you sell. If you don't have traffic, save your money and pay for SEO or ads instead!

GUI Quality

The technical quality of your AI chatbot's GUI is important. If your chatbot results in your website becoming slower, it will result in that a lot of your existing visitors simply click the back button in their browser before the website even loads. At which point your chatbot becomes the reason for why you're getting less sales.

We've got research on this, and more than 50% of your website visitors will not wait for your page to load before they click the back button if it takes 10 seconds or more to load.

This implies that if your website needs 5 seconds to load, and you add an AI chatbot to it, reducing your website's page load time by another 5 seconds - Instead of increasing engagement, you're now loosing 50% of your existing customers before the page even loads. Implying your AI chatbot has now effectively reduced your new sales by 50% instead of increasing it.

To ensure your AI chatbot doesn't negatively affect page load speed, you'll need to measure its bandwidth usage. Our chatbot never loads more than 50KB before it's clicked, and once it's clicked, it will only load another 50 to 150 KB of data. This is about 1 to 10 percent of the bandwidth consumption the average AI chatbot out there consumes.

The more "mature" your AI chatbot vendor is, the larger this problem seems to be - Something we've discovered as we're measuring page load speed of high profile AI chatbots out there, such as those delivered by ZenDesk, SalesForce, and HubSpot. In fact, in our tests, the larger companies out there seems to be particularly bad at being able to deliver chatbots that doesn't somehow destroy your existing traffic by doubling the time it takes to load your page.

The fix for this, is to ask one of your developers to measure bandwidth consumption of your chatbot. If this figure is substantially larger than 50KB (our chatbot), you're probably better choosing a different vendor.

Attracting Users to your Chatbot

Once you've got an AI chatbot, you probably want to make sure it's as visible as possible. After all, a successful AI interation with your chatbot will highly likely increase the likelyhood of that visitor turning into a client by 300 to 700 percent.

The industry average here is that about 1 to 4 percent of website visitors will actually interact with your AI chatbot. Our figures are dwarfing the industry standard here, which you can see from the above figures, but these figures will probably not reflect yours as we've already told you. However, everything you can do to increase these figures will result in more sales. So once you've got your AI chatbot, you will want to make sure as many visitors as possible are actually interacting with it.

If you look at our chatbot, you will notice it's subtly "blinking" every 4 seconds. In addition it shows a "popup" message after 4 seconds, encouraging the user to interact with it. Both of these elements are added to it to make it more prominent and visible. After all, we've got a "magical machine" that increases conversions by 300 to 700 percent. It would be madness not to try our best to have users notice it and interact with it.

In addition we've got "trigger" buttons. This feature allows our chatbot to interact with your page, allowing you to create buttons and hyperlinks that "triggers" the chatbot. You can try it out below.

Creating such trigger buttons is easy for us, and can be done with any CMS that allows you to inject HTML into your pages. Below is the HTML code for the above button.

<a
    href="#"
    onclick="ainiro_faq_question(event); return false;">
    How can an AI chatbot benefit my business?
</a>

Such trigger buttons can serve as funnels into interacting with your AI chatbot, significantly increasing your numbers.

In addition, we also have the ability to trigger the AI chatbot directly from users clicking a URL - At which point once the page loads, the AI chatbot will immediately trigger automatically with some specific question, allowing you to send hyperlinks to people to interact with your chatbot. You can try the latter below.

Are you Eligible for an AI Chatbot?

Even a miracle chatbot will not be able to help you sell if you've got 25 unique website visitors per day. It doesn't help having the best AI-based sales executive on earth if nobody comes to your shop. So our rule of thumb here is that we don't deliver to clients with less than 100 unique website visitors per day, unless we've explained this simple fact to them, and they still insist.

You'll need existing traffic to leverage an AI chatbot on your website!

Garbage Data?

AI is not a magic pill. We've had clients coming to us with garbage data, expecting us to perform miracles. Unless your data is high quality, contains few contradictions, and answers most questions related to your company - It's simply futile! In order to deliver a high quality chatbot we'll need high quality data, period!

Crap in, crap out!

It's really that simple. If your looking to implement an AI chatbot, my piece of advice is to first look at your data. If your data is crap, spend a couple of weeks / months fixing your data - Only then you can contact somebody like us and ask them about AI.

Conclusion

The last couple of years we've had millions of soldiers of fortune looking to get rich fast on AI. If you need proof of this, then please try to find a LinkedIn connection of yours today that's not somehow pivoted to becoming an "AI expert" the last 2 years. Some of these have tried our product, on brand new websites, with zero organic traffic - Unwilling to pay for ads or SEO - And they've seen zero results (ofc!)

AI chatbots truly works, but you'll need a mature website, with lots of existing traffic, and high quality data. And you'll need to deeply integrate your chatbot into your website, to make sure users are noticing it. In addition, you'll need to make sure that whatever chatbot you're choosing, it doesn't add several megabytes of additional download to your page before it's initialised - Which will destroy your existing good results from existing SEO projects and ad campaigns.

Only once all of the above have been dealt with you can expect a successful AI chatbot implementation. If you're not there yet, please click the back button in your browser instead of scheduling a meeting with us - Because both your time and our time is simply too precious to waste it discussing something that's not beneficial for you.

If you've already dealt with all of the above, or plan to deal with it in the future, and you've got the budget to pay us - THEN feel free to contact us, not before.

AI is hyped beyond, and about 50% of our leads are what we refer to as "soldiers of fortune", having no understanding of reality, simply believing that AI will somehow "magically make them rich." When they purchase our product, and they don't become rich in a couple of weeks, they tend to cancel their subscriptions, resulting in both us and them having spent a lot of time on something that will never give us return on our investment.

Hopefully by writing this article, all of us can save some time - Because after all, time is literally our product - As in ...

We give you more time!

And that's kind of like the whole deal about AI, as in it gives you time, precious time. So please try to avoid starting out by wasting it ...
