Still The Best Embeddable AI Chatbot on Earth

In April of 2024 I wrote an article called The 2nd Best AI Chatbot on Earth. A partner had sent me a competitor's chatbot that was genuinely great - lightweight, clever, and it even had a couple of features we didn't have. I couldn't handle it. I can handle others being better at marketing, sales, SEO - whatever. But a better product? Never!

So I took two days of "vacation", reverse engineered every feature they had, implemented all of it, halved their price, and went back to being #1.

That was more than two years ago. I'm still waiting for the next challenger.

I literally ended that article by begging people to send me chatbots better than ours, so I could blatantly steal their best ideas. My inbox has been silent on that front ever since. Out of the tens of thousands of AI chatbots we've looked at since, exactly zero have been able to challenge us on product quality.

"Embeddable" is the word that matters

Anyone can build an AI chatbot in 2026. Wiring an LLM to a text box is a weekend project. The hard part is building one you can embed on somebody else's website without wrecking it.

Most chatbot widgets out there are 1.2MB to 5MB of JavaScript, strangling your page speed, tanking your Core Web Vitals, and punishing your SEO - ironically costing you the exact traffic the chatbot was supposed to convert. Ours is less than 100KB. It's still, as far as we know, the smallest AI chatbot in existence. When the product is something you inject into other people's websites, size isn't a nice-to-have - size is the product.

Add to that custom themes matching your colours and fonts, and the thing blends into your website like it was always there.

What "best" meant in 2024 versus what it means today

Back in 2024, the bar for a great AI chatbot was RAG on your website data, follow-up question suggestions, and a handful of themes. That was the entire game.

Most of our competitors are still shipping that feature set. Meanwhile, our chatbot today can display images, generate images, render charts and graphs, and syntax highlight code. And the big one: we can "vibe code" rich visual micro apps - checkout carts, booking forms, entire applications complete with a database and an API - and inject them straight into the chat stream. Your app literally lives inside the chatbot.

The 2024 feature war is over. We won it so hard the others never showed up for the 2026 one.

A chatbot that's secretly an AI agent

Strict RAG context keeps hallucinations practically eliminated - and yes, "leaking" base model knowledge is still an opt-in for the clients who want it, a feature I stole fair and square back in 2024.

The chatbot speaks whatever language your visitors speak, can collect names and emails, and remembers your users across sessions.
